The former federal capital Bonn is one of the oldest cities in Germany on both sides of the Rhine and can look back on a story over 2000 years old. She is still a seat of government of six federal ministries, seated 18 associations of the United Nations and the place of business of the large corporations Deutsche Post and Deutsche Telekom. But the city on the Rhine also has a lot to offer culturally, as it is the birthplace Ludwig van Beethoven's and former residence of the Elector in Cologne. Today the former Electoral Castle houses Bonn University and is one of the city's attractions with its many green areas, collections and exhibitions.
